What are the strung balance points of a tennis racket?
im buying a new tennis racket soon but when i go on WIlson’s website and look. under strung balance it says hh or hl (head heavy or headlight) and it also has points next to it. like the K Blade Tour has 7 points (http://www.wilson.com/wilson/racquet/products.jsp?CONTENT<>cnt_id=10134198673997476&FOLDER<>folder_id=2534374302756112&bmUID=1202174169203). what does it mean?
well, the kblade tour is 7pts HL meaning most of the weight is in the handle. so the more HL a racquet is, the easier it is to swing.
and yes the balance points will change if it is strung.

Tennis must reset the artistic wooden rackets of the best players?
Tennis must return to his art and subtlety … and the glory days? Could allow children and players from the club to continue using the technology, lightness and power of graphite / profile / carbon / space age material pairs power. Dar challenge.Make major tournaments and use the beautiful wooden tennis rackets know that Sampras, Roddick and all modern high-athletic players will still so hard … but people have realized is not what the players can no longer be the best players and average-sized players earn ranking and reach the top. We like to see people having to deal, sweat and use your brain to find a tactic to win. It's time to stop progress and security culture and beauty. If we can achieve the establishment of tennis or some tournaments to install this idea would see tennis worth watching again. The only artist who is now resting more nothing Federer. The the ball club and spend more time in the gym than in the tennis court
I agree with you somewhat, but the reality is, it is too later. I was in the tennis equipment industry since late 1970 to early 1990, i witnessed how industry and technology changes the face of sports. missed the opportunity gold to regulate the size and material of the racket in early 1980, after that, tennis is a sport altogether. while successfully maintaining MLB metal / graphite racket professional games, it is impossible to have children and play a racket armature and switch to wooden bats turn professional. Why? because unlike baseball, tennis player required swing and hit every ball. it takes years of practice and hundreds of thousands of swing to get to that level. is impossible for players to grow with the graphite racket to compete in the wooden racket. the funny thing is that in the 80's, the industry was excited about the new materials and new technologies to make the rackets! he believes will "help sports." all I'm saying is, no turning back. i sometimes watch the games television and I'm amazed at how professional tennis become "superhuman" sports! there is no "point the building" as taught me the game of tennis. really powerful racket can turn a defensive situation into a winner, every cornor of the court. tennis players today are so well built, the size and strength of the old players can not compete. in other words, the technology also changes the physical demands on players. Today tennis is like playing ping pong in the big field. speed and power is overwhelming. if my son wants to take the sport and ask for the recommendation, I would suggest golf or other sports instead of tennis. is too difficult now.
