As soon as you start experiencing tennis elbow pain all that will be on your mind is to find a way to put an end to it and fast. It does not really matter how, as long as the nagging pain is gone.
No matter how much it hurt, I was very weary to take pain medication because of the side-effects that seemed worse than the cure so instead of going down the road of medication and conventional treatments, I decided to look around for more effective and less invasive treatments.
Treatments that can end your tennis elbow pain:
* Resting the tennis elbow and taking painkillers are normally the first step when it comes to getting rid of tennis elbow pain.
* Apply an ice-pack to the hurtful area to reduce swelling and lessen the pain.
Your doctor will probably start giving you non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs if your symptoms persist.
If that still does not work, your doctor can consider injecting cortisone-type medication directly into the sore area. This will probably do the trick in most severe cases, although it must be noted that some injuries can be so severe and consistent that the only thing that will really help is an operation.
It is very important to know that you can take active action whenever tennis elbow symptoms start showing and if you do the right thing, there is no need for invasive treatments later on down the line.
If you are weary about taking medication because of the side-effects they might cause, you can actually learn how to do several easy exercises at home, without having to go to a gym. These exercises can quickly reduce you pain and even avoid future symptoms.
