As soon as you start experiencing tennis elbow pain all that will be on your mind is to find a way to put an end to it and fast. It does not really matter how, as long as the nagging pain is gone.
No matter how much it hurt me, I have never been a big fan of taking painkillers because of the side-effects, so I tried to locate other treatments to deal with my tennis elbow problems that would not only kill the pain but also avoid the symptoms from coming back.
Several ways to reduce tennis elbow pain:
* Resting the tennis elbow and taking painkillers are normally the first step when it comes to getting rid of tennis elbow pain.
* Ice-packs can reduce swelling and pain when applied to the area that hurts most and it can be done several times a day for as long as you need it.
The next step to be taken when the above methods do not help reduce your symptoms, you can take NSAIDs after consulting with your doctor.
Your doctor might even go as far as considering the injection of cortisone directly into the painful area but only if the symptoms are severe and keep coming back.
Fortunately almost all cases of tennis elbow pain can be solved without such an invasive treatment, as long as you take the appropriate action when your tennis elbow is first starting to become present.
If you do not want to use medication to treat tennis elbow pain, there are several exercises you can do to reduce and even cure tennis elbow. These exercises can be done in the comfort of your own home and they will even put an end to your pain.
