No matter what reason you have for buying any rackets, make sure that the racket is suitable for your playing experience. Picking the right tennis racket will not only make you play better and get more satisfaction, you will also be able to have more control over your game.

A good maintenance practice will not only keep your wallet off from the unnecessary extra expenditure, it will also keeps your image as a person who knows how to take care of their things well intact. Being careful is also a good trace to be followed since it gives you extra credit from the people around you, and perhaps, people will look for you in case of any tennis racket breakage.

Aluminum frames on the other hand, are easily scratched and dented. Not to mention the weight. Aluminum is also made of several alloys such as zinc, magnesium, sillicon, chromium and copper. Zinc alloy is more brittle while silicon is easier to work with since it is malleable.

Second aspect to bring in mind is the length of the tennis racket. The standard length for a tennis racket would be 27 inches. Longer racket gives players more reach and power since it can provide the player extra swing, especially when they serve. However, professional players tend to opt for the standard-length tennis rackets since they are easier to maneuver and controlled.

When we talk about the strings of the rackets, we will face a whole lot of different materials for the strings. The strings will affect the player’s performance. In today’s world, there are 4 main materials that are being used, namely the natural gut, nylon, kevlar and polyester. The natural gut is derived from the intestine of an adult steer. Strings made out of this material are able to reduce vibration and gives players with tennis elbow the benefits. Rackets using this string must not be left in hot and cold temperatures.

Next is the nylon. Nylon is one of the easiest material to find and use. The nylon strings are measured in gauges of 15 to 18. 15 is the thickest while 18 is the thinnest. The rule is, the thicker the gauge is, better durability but less feel will be obtained by the player. Nylon is easy to clean and maintain.

Lastly is the handle of the rackets. Regardless your level of playing, be it beginner or professional, a good handle will help you by giving you extra strength and control of the racket. Plus, a good handle will also absorb the shock and impact from the ball when it hits the string, reducing the risk of hurting your shoulders and arms.

Finally, whenever you want to retighten your string, do not do it exceeding the suggested tension level from the manufacturers. Should you do so and your racket is still under warranty, you will not be able to repair your racket using the warranty. If you are used to do retightening process, ask somebody who is good in it to do it to avoid your racket from damages. So, there you have it. All the tips needed to take care of your racket. Follow those and your racket will live longer.
