Why Women’s Tennis Ought to be Revered

Honestly, why are things this way?
When Steffi Graf dominated the tennis court fans did not appreciate it. When Venus and Serena happened to be destroying any person on their route to the finals, people didn’t like it. And currently when titles are more well balanced than before? Supporters do not appreciate this.
The majority acknowledge that the Williams girls dominate the majority of the time. Although physical issues and reduced non-Slam agendas suggest they currently play against one another prior to the championship match. Although once more let us bear in mind that not too long ago the previously referenced whining concerning this regular meeting in the finals and their dominance over other athletes.
Well currently we have Dinara Safina holding the number one place in the ranks and the US Open seeds. And what do they say? She doesn’t deserve it because she hasn’t yet won a Grand Slam (not to mention that she’s gone down in a couple grand slam finals of late.) Although she’s making slam title and she’s somewhat amusing along the way, in the tennis world and in her personal life.
Yesterday she had to fight it out again, practically becoming the first #1 seed to lose in the 1st round. Was it entertaining? I thought so. But we will hear all about the illegitimacy of the rank method, yada, yada.
And then there was Venus Williams last night–also pushed to 3 sets. Furthermore engaging. (Additionally note that Venus did not have the winningest of summers post Wimbledon.) However probably to be heard is the prevalence of injuries among the sisters Williams and their “distractions” off the courts.
Furthermore presently Kim Clijsters is back and rather than being greatly excited – which we ought to be since she is fun and polite and a delightful competitor – the media are all like “well what does it reveal regarding the ladies game that she might come outside retirement and end up with a six and two finish for the summer year?”
Well I believe it asserts that she – as she consistently has -trains very well. Also that she is an experienced pro athlete and she has virtually nothing to lose.
So let’s simply end all the trash talking, please. Yes, there are imperfections in the girls game. (Like the absence of variety in terms of playing style.) Although I personally like that it is anyone’s guess as to who’ll be in that final in under 2 weeks. And I am excited about witnessing how they end up there.
